Indiana Health Care Foundation Nursing Scholarship

Since 1997, the Indiana Health Care Foundation has sought to assist the long-term care industry find and educate quality staff.  The IHCF Nursing Scholarship awards students pursuing an education in RN and/or LPN accredited Bachelor and Associate degree programs.  Application is open to Indiana residents who possess a high school diploma or GED and have been accepted to a college, university, or technical school with an LPN or RN accredited degree program located in Indiana.  Special consideration is given to individuals who show a dedication and commitment to working with the elderly in a long-term care environment.

Indiana Nursing Scholarship Fund Program

The Nursing Scholarship Fund was created by the 1990 Indiana General Assembly to encourage and promote qualified individuals to pursue a nursing career in Indiana.  This award is open to Indiana residents demonstrating financial need who have been admitted to an approved institution of higher learning as a full-time or part-time nursing student.  Award recipients must agree in writing to work as a nurse in the Indian health care system for at least the first two years following graduation.

International Nurse Development Scholarship

Global Scholarship Alliance (GSA) provides nursing scholarships by partnering with universities and health systems around the US to create customized work/study programs for nurses. GSA's programs provide qualifying internationally- and U.S.-trained nurses with scholarships for advanced nursing degrees combined with multi-year hospital employment, sometimes offering relocation assistance, NCLEX reimbursement, immigrant visa sponsorship for internationally-trained nurses, and temporary housing upon arrival.

International Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons (IOKDS) Health Careers Scholarship

The International Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons is an international and interdenominational organization of Christian men and women dedicated to the purpose of training its members for Christian service.  The goal of the Health Careers Scholarship is to encourage capable persons to train for careers in various heath fields.  RN student applicants must have completed the first year of schooling.

This Scholar-in-Residence program provides a yearlong leadership opportunity in health policy at the Institute of Medicine (IOM), The National Academies. The American Academy of Nursing (AAN) and the American Nurses Foundation (ANF) in partnership with the IOM support this program. It is designed as an immersion experience to facilitate nurse leaders playing a more prominent role in health policy development at the national level.

Isemoto Contracting Co., Ltd. Scholarship Fund

The Hawaii Community Foundation is a public, statewide, charitable services and grantmaking organization by donor contributions for the benefit of Hawaii’s people. The Foundation has distributed scholarships to more than 2,300 students totaling more than $4.7 million. Applicant for this scholarship award must be a graduate of a Hawaii Island High School and accepted as an upper classman into one of the following college programs: a school of engineering, a teacher education program, a nursing program.

Janet L. Hoffman Loan Assistance Repayment Program (LARP)

This program provides educational loan repayment assistance to individuals providing public service in state or local government or the nonprofit sector in Maryland to low income or underserved residents. Applicants must be residents of Maryland and have received an undergraduate, graduate or professional degree from a college or university in Maryland. Applicant's gross salary cannot exceed $60,000 or, if married, combined salaries cannot exceed $130,000. Applicants must be employed full-time (35 hours or more per week) at a state/local government or nonprofit organization in Maryland. Applicants must have loans that were obtained for educational expenses that are not in default. This is a service-based program. A formula is used to determine the amount of each award. This formula is based on awardee's total student loan debt and expected contribution.

Janice and John Robbins Scholarship

Each spring, the Conway Regional Health System Foundation awards scholarships to area students who are currently enrolled, or beginning their education, in a health related career field. Awards may be used for tuition, books, and room and board expenses. This scholarship was established in 2007 by the Conway Regional Women's Council to honor John Robbins and his wife, Janice, upon his retirement as Conway Regional's President and CEO. The Women's Council was established in 2001 and has grown into a dynamic group of more than 150 women working to improve women's health in the community and raise funds for Conway Regional. It is hoped this scholarship will honor the Robbins' vision and their unwavering commitment to education by helping a student seeking to further his or her education in a medical field so he or she can serve patients at Conway Regional in the future.

The Saint Barnabas Health Care System is New Jersey’s largest integrated health care delivery system, providing treatment and services for more than 225,000 inpatients and same day surgery patients, 450,000 Emergency Department patients, and over 1.5 million outpatients each year.  In an effort to attract and retain the best nurses possible, Saint Barnabas Medical Center offers this scholarship to candidates enrolled in accredited nursing programs, willing to provide at least a year of service at Saint Barnabas Medical Center upon graduation.
