Haley Award
Vanderbilt University’s School of Nursing offers a number of full and partial internal scholarships. Full-time enrollment (12 hours per semester) is required to be considered for a scholarship award. Consideration for full scholarships and the amount of partial scholarship awards are based upon an individual's GPA and GRE, GMAT or other standardized test score. All awards are made through the School of Nursing Scholarship Committee according to the requirements of the funding source. This award was endowed through a bequest from James H. Haley, Jr., to help support a worthy student of the School of Nursing.

Harold Stirling Vanderbilt (HSV) Scholarship
Vanderbilt University’s School of Nursing offers a number of full and partial internal scholarships. Full-time enrollment (12 hours per semester) is required to be considered for a scholarship award. Consideration for full scholarships and the amount of partial scholarship awards are based upon an individual's GPA and GRE, GMAT or other standardized test score. All awards are made through the School of Nursing Scholarship Committee according to the requirements of the funding source. This award honors the memory of the great-grandson of Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt and president of the University's Board of Trust from 1955 to 1968. The scholarship covers full tuition for three semesters. Selection is based on academic excellence and potential for contribution to the Nursing profession; financial need is not a criterion.

HCAid Scholarship
HCA Central Atlantic Division awards scholarships to select applicants recently accepted or currently enrolled in a fully accredited Associate Degree Program. Applicants must be enrolled full time. Awards are based on merit and on the applicant's written essay on his/her professional and educational goals. Scholarship recipients agree to employment at the sponsoring HCA-affiliated hospital for a period of no less than three years. Employees of HCA or its affiliates are not eligible.

Health Professions Education Foundation Allied Healthcare Scholarship Program
The purpose of the Allied Healthcare Scholarship Program is to increase the number of appropriately trained allied healthcare professionals, and to encourage their practice in direct patient care in medically underserved areas of California. Priority is given to students enrolled in the fields of medical imaging, occupational therapy, physical therapy, respiratory care, social work, pharmacy, pharmacy technician, medical laboratory technologist, surgical technician, ultrasound technician, and diagnostic medical sonography. Recipients would have a service obligation of 1 year or 100-150 hours volunteer service. This program is funded by a contribution from Kaiser Permanente.

Health Professions Education Foundation Health Professions Education Scholarship
The purpose of this program is to increase the number of appropriately trained health professional and to encourage their practice in direct patient care in medically underserved areas of California. Scholarships are awarded to students who are enrolled or accepted into Dentist, Dental Hygienist, Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, and Physician Assistant programs in California. Recipients commit to work full-time or 32 hours per week after graduating with a degree a two-year service obligation practicing direct patient care in a medically underserved area in California.

The purpose of this program is to increase the number of vocational nurses practicing in medically underserved areas of California and to assist LVNs in pursuing their Associate Degree in Nursing. Recipients commit to a two-year service obligation practicing direct patient care in a medically underserved area in California.

The purpose of the Associate Degree Nursing Scholarship Program is to increase the number of registered nurses practicing in medically underserved areas of California, and to support their articulation from an Associate Degree Nursing program to a Baccalaureate of Science Nursing Degree program. Scholarships are awarded to nursing students accepted to or enrolled in a Associate Degree Nursing programs in California and who agree to obtain a baccalaureate degree at a nursing program in California within five years of obtaining their associate degree in nursing. Recipients would have a service obligation of two years.

The company offers a student loan that is tied to a commitment to work with HealthSouth upon graduation. Monetary amounts range from up to $10,000 for RNs and $5000 for LPNs.
