Mildred Nutting Nursing Scholarship
The DAR, founded in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education for children. Minnesota Nurse Faculty Loan Forgiveness Program
The purpose of Minnesota's Loan Forgiveness program is to recruit and retain health care professionals and educators to needed areas and facilities within Minnesota. The Office of Rural Health and Primary Care (ORHPC), Minnesota Department of Health administers this program. This program is offered to students studying to become nursing instructors, who plan to teach at least twelve credit hours, or 720 hours per year (including prep time) in the nursing field in a postsecondary program in Minnesota for a minimum of three years.

Minnesota Nurse Loan Forgiveness Program
The purpose of Minnesota's Loan Forgiveness program is to recruit and retain health care professionals to needed areas and facilities within Minnesota. The Office of Rural Health and Primary Care (ORHPC), Minnesota Department of Health administers this program. This program is offered to licensed practical or registered nurse students, who plan to practice for at least 30 hours per week, for at least 45 weeks per year, for a minimum of three years in a licensed nursing home or intermediate care facility for the mentally retarded (ICF/MR) in Minnesota.

Mississippi Nurses Foundation Scholarship
The Mississippi Nurses' Association (MNA) is the voice of
registered nurses of Mississippi and provides leadership to improve
the health of the people. The Association’s Foundation
offers this scholarship annually. Applicants must be members
of the Mississippi Nurses Association. The award is granted
based on a written essay. For more information about this and

Most Valuable Student Competition
The Elks National Foundation provides more than $3.3 million in
college scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors.
The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships
to the highest-rated boys and girls in this annual competition. Any
high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is
eligible to apply. Applicants need not be related to a member of
the Elks. College students are not eligible to apply. Applicants
must be citizens of the United States on the date their
applications are signed; resident alien status does not qualify.
Applicants will be judged on financial need, leadership and
scholarship. Applications must advance through local, district and
state competition to reach the national competition. Most Valuable
Student scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree,
on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a US
American college or university. Male and female students compete
separately.
