AAIA - Sequoyah Graduate Fellowship

For American Indian and Alaskan Native full-time students who are working toward a graduate degree. Applications are due July 20th of each academic year, recipients are notified by October 20th. Applicant must be minimally ¼ degree Indian blood from a federally recognized tribe. Please include a certificate of enrollment and blood quantum from your tribe or B.I.A.

AAMN Foundation Scholarships for Men

The American Assembly for Men in Nursing (AAMN) Foundation and the Johnson & Johnson Campaign for Nursing's Future have partnered to offer this new $1,000 scholarship program for male students pursuing professional nursing education programs. Established in 2004, these scholarships are intended to supports male students who are seeking a pre-RN licensure or graduate degree in nursing.

already be enrolled at an accredited institution.

AAOHN Professional Development Scholarships

The AAOHN Professional Scholarships support occupational and environmental health professionals in attending and successfully completing continuing education activities that will further their professional development and continued competence. These grants are not intended to supplement tuition in an academic program. Fifteen Scholarships Offered: Five $1,500 scholarship is funded by the ALCOA Foundation; Three $1,000 scholarships are funded by Bristol Myers Squibb for pre- and post-AOHC CE offerings; Two $1,500 scholarships are funded by Edwards Medical Supply; One $1,500 scholarship is funded by the Liberty Leadership Fund; One $1,000 scholarship is funded by North Carolina Leaders; One $1,500 scholarship is funded by OMI, Two $1,000 scholarships are funded by the Texas State AOHN. Candidates must be employed in the field of occupational and environmental health nursing and demonstrate an interest in, and commitment to, occupational and environmental health.

ACNP / AJNP Nurse Practitioner Student Scholarship Award

The American Journal for Nurse Practitioners (AJNP) sponsors an annual student scholarship grant in collaboration with ACNP. This award has been developed to promote the education of nurse practitioners and to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of student nurse practitioners and the contributions they will make as future leaders of the profession. Scholarship Details: The recipient will receive a one-year's membership in ACNP and $1000 scholarship. The Award will be presented at the ACNP Annual National Clinical Symposium. The recipient will receive a complementary registration to the Clinical Symposium and a maximum of $750 to defer travel and lodging expenses.

Aetna Scholarship

NBNA is committed to excellence in education and conducts continuing education programs for nurses and allied health professionals throughout the year.  The association provides annual scholarships for students.  Scholarships provide funding for continuing education. This funding enables nurses to grow and better contribute their talents to the health and healthcare of our communities.  Candidate must be currently enrolled in a nursing program (B.S.N., A.D., Diploma or L.P.N. / L.V.N. and in good scholastic standing at the time of application.  Must be a member of NBNA and a member of a local chapter (if one exists in your area).  Applicant must have at least one full year of school remaining.

AFSCME Family Scholarship Program

The AFSCME Family Scholarship Program is an ongoing program of scholarships available to children and financially dependent grandchildren of AFSCME members. Last year, thirteen scholarships of $2,000 each were awarded to the winners selected from the applicants who meet eligibility requirements. Once awarded, the scholarships will be renewed for $2,000 each year for a maximum of four years, provided the student remains enrolled in a full-time course of study. Any graduating high school senior who is a daughter or son of an AFSCME member, (or whose legal guardian or financially responsible grandparent is an AFSCME member) and who intends to enroll in a full-time, four year degree program in any accredited college or university, is eligible to apply for a scholarship. The scholarship may be used for any field of study.

AHNA - Charlotte McGuire Scholarships

The Charlotte McGuire Scholarship Program (CMGSP) was established in 1986 through a gracious gift to the American Holistic Nurses' Association. Since 1987, AHNA nurses in pursuit of their professional education have been assisted by this program. These CMGSP awards celebrate the commitment of nurses to a holistic path. The awards are presented at AHNA's annual conference held each year in June. Annually, the CMGSP offers two academic scholarships awarded to nurses in undergraduate nursing programs (ADN, BSN, ADN to BSN), graduate nursing programs (MSN, PhD, DNSc) and other graduate programs related to holistic nursing. Deadline is Mar. 15 every year.

AHNA - Research Grants

Research Grants are available to AHNA members who are conducting research on topics related to holistic nursing; Have been members of AHNA for at least one year Complete the application process. The research grant awards are not given to those completing doctoral dissertations or masters research projects. Persons conducting research as a requirement for a graduate degree are encouraged to apply to the CMG Scholarship Program to support their work. Deadline is Mar. 15 every year.

Air Force ROTC 4-Year Nursing Scholarships

The Air Force nursing scholarship program helps you pursue a nursing degree to earn an Air Force commission through Air Force ROTC. Nursing Scholarships are offered for 1 to 4 years. Only high school seniors or graduates who have not attended college full-time may qualify for the 4-year nursing scholarship. Students in college may apply for the 1 to 3-year scholarship. The Type 1 scholarships pay full college tuition, most mandatory fees, plus a textbook allowance. The Type 2 scholarships pay the same benefits except tuition is capped at $15,000 per year. A third type of scholarship (called Type 7) offers full tuition, but the student must attend a school where the tuition is less than $9,000 annually. During the year, all Air Force ROTC cadets on scholarship receive a monthly nontaxable allowance (which varies freshmen to seniors). After you have completed all Air Force ROTC program requirements and your degree requirements, you will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Air Force Nurse Corps and serve 4 terms on active duty. Newly commissioned nurses will complete licensing requirements after graduation.

Akron General Medical Center – Service League Nursing Scholarship

The goal of Akron General Medical Center's Service League Nursing Scholarship is to provide financial assistance for students regardless of race, religion, sex, age, disability or national origin, who are accepted by an accredited college of nursing. Scholarships will be provided by the Akron General Medical Center Development Foundation through endowments funded by the Akron General Medical Center's Service League and other benefactors. The scholarships are awarded based on candidate's scholarship and financial need. Eligibility Candidate must be accepted by one of the State of Ohio supported University Baccalaureate Nursing Programs. Candidates must be a graduate of a high school in Ohio or an Akron General Medical Center employee, or a son, daughter or spouse of an employee.
