Pauline Thompson Nursing Education Scholarship
The Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania has established the Pauline Thompson Nursing Education Scholarship to be awarded to a nursing student. The recipient will exemplify academic achievement, leadership, and community service as required in the criteria. The Awards Committee of the Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania will review the applications. The applicant must attend an accredited baccalaureate, associate degree or RN-to-BSN completion nursing program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A baccalaureate student may be in his/her sophomore or junior year, an associate degree student must be in his/her final year. The RN-to-BSN completion student must have been accepted into a degree completion program. Applicants must demonstrate leadership qualities and be involved in community service. If the applicant is an RN, he/she must be a member of the PA State Nurses Association for at least six- (6) months prior to application.

Peeples Foundation Trust Scholarship
Marion Peeples was born in Indianapolis in 1863 and set up the first vocational education program for the Indianapolis Public School System. The trust established by his will provides for the awarding of annual scholarships to Indiana high school students. Eligibility is open to graduates of Indiana high schools, who are attending or plan to attend an Indiana college/university and are pursuing a degree in Nursing, Dietetics, or Technology Education. Preference is given (in order) to graduates of Franklin Community High School, graduates of Johnson County high schools, graduates of Indiana high schools.

Phoebe Pember Memorial Scholarship
The United Daughters of the Confederacy is the oldest patriotic
organization in the country because of its connection with two
statewide organizations that came into existence as early as 1890
-- the Daughters of the Confederacy (DOC) in Missouri and the
Ladies' Auxiliary of the Confederate Soldiers Home in Tennessee.
Membership is open to women no less than 16 years of age who are
blood descendants, lineal or collateral, of men and women who
served honorably in the Army, Navy, or Civil Service of the
Confederate States of America. This scholarship will be awarded to
a full time undergraduate student who enrolled in a school of
nursing who is also a descendant of a confederate soldier.

Physio-Control, Inc. Advanced Nursing Practice Scholarship (ENA)
Recognizing the importance of ongoing education and research opportunities in emergency nursing, ENA established the Foundation in 1991. The purpose of the Foundation is to enhance emergency health services available to the public through education and research. This scholarship is awarded to an emergency nurse (RN, LPN or LVN) pursuing an advanced clinical practice degree to become a nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist. Priority for funding will be given to nurses focusing on cardiac nursing, including cardiac resuscitation. Support for this scholarship is provided by Physio-Control, Inc.

The systems prepare healthcare professionals to successfully pass nationally accepted proficiency nursing and general education examinations. Regents Professional Opportunity Scholarship
The purpose of the Regents Professional Opportunity Scholarship is to increase representation of minority and disadvantaged individuals in New York State licensed professions. Applicants must be beginning or already enrolled in an approved degree-bearing program of study in New York State that leads to licensure in a particular profession (including Registered Professional Nurse). This scholarship honors Renatta Loquist, a nurse leader in South Carolina who was instrumental in establishing the Palmetto Gold Nurse Recognition and Scholarship Program. The funding for this scholarship comes from the contributions to the Palmetto Gold Nurse Recognition and Scholarship Program and proceeds from the Palmetto Gold Gala. The recipient is determined by the Palmetto Gold Steering Committee, a special committee of the SCNF. The recipient of this scholarship is recognized at the annual Palmetto Gold Gala.
