M.V. Macrae Memorial Nurses Scholarship
Applicant must be a veteran or the parent, spouse, widow, son,
daughter, grandson, granddaughter, great-grandson,
great-granddaughter of a veteran and a resident of Iowa. Applicant
must be a high school graduate. The applicant must submit an
original essay consisting of not more than 400 words which will
give insight into one's personality and express the qualities one
wants to be known and be remembered by in one's chosen field.
Applicant shall also submit three letters of recommendation: one
from a Unit or Post verifying the applicant's eligibility; one from
his/her school; and one from a business or professional person,
clergy, or community leader indicating the applicant's character,
patriotism, leadership, etc.

March of Dimes - Graduate Nursing Scholarships
To recognize and promote excellence in nursing care of mothers and
babies, the March of Dimes offers several $5,000 scholarships
annually to registered nurses enrolled in graduate programs of
maternal-child nursing. Applicant must be enrolled in a
graduate program in maternal-child nursing at the master’s or
doctoral level and must be a member of at least one of the
following professional organizations: the Association of Women’s
Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses; the American College of
Nurse-Midwives; or the National Association of Neonatal
Nurses. Employees of the March of Dimes, members of its Board
of Trustees, and their family members are not eligible.

The Hawaii Community Foundation is a public, statewide, charitable services and grantmaking organization by donor contributions for the benefit of Hawaii’s people. The Foundation has distributed scholarships to more than 2,300 students totaling more than $4.7 million.

Margaret Miller Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship
Recognizing the importance of ongoing education and research opportunities in emergency nursing, ENA established the Foundation in 1991. The purpose of the Foundation is to enhance emergency health services available to the public through education and research. This scholarship is named in memory of longtime ENA member, Margaret Miller, RN, BSN, MSEd. Her contributions to ENA are immeasurable, including service on ENA Boards and Committees. Margaret had limitless energy and was known by all as “Granny” which may have been appropriate for her age, but not her spirit. The purpose of this scholarship is to contribute toward tuition costs for a nurse (RN, LPN, LVN) who is pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing.
