Virginia's Nurse Practitioner Nurse Midwife Scholarship Program
This scholarship is open to Virginia State residents of at least one year who have been accepted or are enrolled as a full-time student in a nurse practitioner/nurse midwifery program in Virginia or a nurse midwifery program in a nearby state. Recipients must agree to engage in full-time practice in a designated medically underserved area for a period of years equal to the number of annual scholarship received. Full-time employment must begin within two year of the recipient's graduation date from the program.

Wisconsin Higher Educational Aid Board Nursing Student Loan Program
The Nursing Student Loan Program provides loans to Wisconsin residents who are enrolled at least half-time at an eligible in-state institution that prepares them to be licensed as nurses, either RN or LPN. The student who participates in this program must agree to be employed as a licensed nurse in Wisconsin. For each of the first two years the student works as a nurse and meets the eligibility criteria, 25% of the loan is forgiven. The balance remaining after forgiveness must be repaid at an interest rate of 5%. If the student does not practice nursing and meets the eligibility criteria, the loan must be repaid at an interest rate of 5%.

Wisconsin League for Nursing / Blue Cross Blue Shield Nursing Scholarships
The Wisconsin League for Nursing and Blue Cross Blue Shield
Wisconsin are pleased to announce the creation of a new scholarship
program designed to help address the critical nursing shortage and
provide financial assistance to aspiring nurses throughout the
state. The scholarships are for Wisconsin students who have
completed at least one half of the credits necessary for graduation
from NLNAC accredited BSN, ADN or LPN programs in Wisconsin. To
apply for the scholarship, students must contact their dean for an
application and write a one page letter to assist the WLN
Scholarship Committee in making their selection. The student should
address the following areas: Scholastic ability; professional
activities and/or community service; understanding the nursing
profession; career goals; and financial need.

WOCN Advanced Education Program Scholarship
The WOCN Scholarship Committee is committed to furthering the role of professionalism within WOC nursing by assisting individuals to obtain a higher degree and helping in personal and academic achievement. Sponsors of the WOCN Society Advanced Education Program have generously contributed funds through the WOCN Foundation to provide a scholarship award program which offers financial aid to offset the costs of a Baccalaureate, Master's or Doctoral Degree or NP Certificate.

Workforce Shortage Student Assistance Grant Program
The State of Maryland has an extensive array of financial aid programs in the form of grants, scholarships and other awards for students who want to further their education beyond high school. This award is open to current high school seniors and degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students. Students who wish to be considered for the Living Expenses Grant must also file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The State Nursing Scholarship is not based on need. The Living Expenses Grant is based on student need as demonstrated by information reported on the FAFSA. Each recipient is required to sign a promissory note with the Maryland Higher Education Commission that states he/she will fulfill the nursing service obligation. The obligation requires the recipient to serve as a nurse on a full-time basis, one year for each academic year, or portion thereof, tuition assistance was received; or on a part-time basis, two years for each academic year, or portion thereof, tuition assistance was received.
