Society of Pediatric Nurses Educational Scholarship
The mission of the Society of Pediatric Nurses is to promote excellence in nursing care of children and their families through support of its members' clinical practice, education, research, and advocacy. The purpose of this scholarship award is to help SPN members further their professional education. The award will be granted to a member engaged in a BSN completion program or a graduate program that will advance the health of children. The recipient will receive a monetary award and a plaque that will be presented at the annual conference. Applicants must be nominated by a current SPN member or chapter. Members of the Board of Directors, during their elected terms, and members of the selection committee are excluded from eligibility for award nomination.

SONNE Scholarship
The Illinois Nurses Association is the pre-eminent voice for nurses in the state if Illinois. With over 100 years of service to its constituent members, the organization has consistently strived to address issues concerning nurses, resulting in major improvements in working conditions, salaries, and employment contracts for members. The Sonne Scholarship Program was created through a generous bequest from the estate of Maybelle Sonne, a retired nurse, who directed that the funds be used to aid those entering a career in nursing. These funds may be used to cover tuition, fees, or other costs encountered by a student enrolled in a state-approved nursing program which leads to eligibility to sit for licensure examination as a registered professional nurse.

Specialized Training Assistance Program (STRAP)
This program is open to associate degree/diploma nurses who have graduated from an NLN or CCNE accredited program and are currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
program or a Masters of Science in Nursing (Critical Care/Nurse Anesthesia. Recipients receive a monthly stipend of $1,600.
Participants incur a two-year obligation to serve in the Army Reserve for each year or partial year of financial assistance. Students may also receive $50,000 towards repaying their loans.

Steven Cutter Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Student
The Steven Scott Cutter scholarship was established in 1999 in
memory of Steven, son of Nancy L. Cutter, Foundation for Seacoast
Health Administration Executive. Steven was a 1989 graduate
of St. Thomas Aquinas High School and a 1994 graduate of the
University of Connecticut, College of Pharmacy. The Steven
Scott Cutter Scholarship will be awarded at the Foundation's Annual
Meeting in April to an outstanding undergraduate student who is a
resident in one of the nine towns in the Foundation area in New
Hampshire and Maine and pursuing a health-related field of
study.

StraightForward Media is an ad agency that creates and manages
ad campaigns for clients whose ads appear on Google, Yahoo, and
others online outlets. Established in 2004, StraightForward Media's
Nursing School Scholarships are offered four times a year to help
the nurses of tomorrow complete their schooling.

Supreme Scholarship Program
The Military Order of the Cootie is an auxiliary order of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Only active members
of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States are eligible
for membership in the Military Order of the Cootie. The objective
of the organization is to keep alive the sprit of optimism and
humor characteristic of the American service man. This award is
given to a relative of VFW or VFW auxiliary who is studying to be a
nurse, pharmacist, dental assistant, x-ray tech., lab tech.,
operating room tech., or dietician.

Tafford Uniforms Scholarship Program
The Tafford Uniforms Scholarship program provides scholarships to nursing students enrolled in one of the following accredited programs: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or Associate Degree in Nursing. Two scholarships are distributed each academic semester for both the spring and fall semesters. Scholarship applicants will also receive 10% off their next nursing uniform order with Tafford.

Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Professional Nursing Scholarships
This award is given to provide financial assistance to encourage
students to become professional nurses. Applicants must be Texas
residents enrolled at least half time in a program leading to an
Associate, Bachelor's, or graduate degree in professional nursing
at a Texas public or independent nonprofit institution. Applicants
may have been previously licensed to practice as a vocational
nurse.

Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Vocational Nursing Scholarships
This award is given to provide financial assistance to encourage
students to become vocational nurses. Applicants must be Texas
residents enrolled at least half time in a program leading to
licensure as a vocational nurse at a Texas public or independent
nonprofit institution. Some, but not all funds for this award are
targeted to students from rural communities.

Thelma Orr Memorial Scholarship
The Alpena Regional Medical Center Auxiliary offers two scholarships for students pursuing a course of study related to human medicine at any state accredited Michigan college or university. Applicants must be residents of any county currently served by Alpena Regional Medical Center (Alpena, Alcona, Presque Isle, Montmorency, Iosco and Oscoda counties).
