Regents Professional Opportunity Scholarship

The purpose of the Regents Professional Opportunity Scholarship is to increase representation of minority and disadvantaged individuals in New York State licensed professions. Applicants must be beginning or already enrolled in an approved degree-bearing program of study in New York State that leads to licensure in a particular profession (including Registered Professional Nurse). Award recipients must agree to practice upon licensure in their chosen profession in New York State. The period of service is 12 months for each annual payment received.

Renatta S. Loquist Scholarship for Graduate Nursing Education

This scholarship honors Renatta Loquist, a nurse leader in South Carolina who was instrumental in establishing the Palmetto Gold Nurse Recognition and Scholarship Program. The funding for this scholarship comes from the contributions to the Palmetto Gold Nurse Recognition and Scholarship Program and proceeds from the Palmetto Gold Gala. The recipient is determined by the Palmetto Gold Steering Committee, a special committee of the SCNF. The recipient of this scholarship is recognized at the annual Palmetto Gold Gala.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority was founded on the belief that sorority elitism and socializing should not overshadow the real mission for progressive organizations - to address societal mores, ills, prejudices, poverty, and health concerns of the day. Zeta's national and local programs include endowment of its National Educational Foundation, community outreach services and support of multiple affiliate organizations. Service League Scholarship for Graduate Education in Nursing

The goal of the Akron General Medical Center Service League Nursing Scholarship is to provide financial assistance for students regardless of race, religion, sex, age, disability or national origin, who are accepted by an accredited college of nursing. Scholarships will be provided by the Akron General Medical Center Development Foundation through endowments funded by the Akron General Medical Center Service League and other benefactors. The scholarships are awarded based on candidate's scholarship and financial need. Eligibility Candidates must be accepted by a University Graduate Nursing Program. Candidates must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or more as submitted by university. Ship Island - Mrs. J. O. Jones Memorial Graduate Scholarship

The United Daughters of the Confederacy is the oldest patriotic organization in the country because of its connection with two statewide organizations that came into existence as early as 1890 -- the Daughters of the Confederacy (DOC) in Missouri and the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Confederate Soldiers Home in Tennessee. Membership is open to women no less than 16 years of age who are blood descendants, lineal or collateral, of men and women who served honorably in the Army, Navy, or Civil Service of the Confederate States of America. This award was established in 1979 from the Ship Island Memorial Fund in memory of Mrs. J.O. Jones of Gulfport, Mississippi, for her dedication to the Ship Island (Prisoner of War Camp) project. It will be awarded to a graduate student in the field of nursing who is also a descendant of a confederate soldier.

Shore Medical Center Academic Nursing Fellowship

This award provides assistance to students enrolled in any accredited registered nursing program. To apply, candidates who have been accepted to an RN program must submit a copy of their letter of acceptance, a resume detailing past educational and work experience, a cover letter stating that the information contained within is for consideration for the Academic Nursing Fellowship program, a grade transcript from all previous educational endeavors, and two letters of recommendation from past supervisors or instructors who know the caliber of your work. Once all information has been received and approved, the selection committee with set up a personal interview.
