Nurses Care Scholarships
The Nurses Care Specialty License Plate Initiative was created in 2002 to provide an opportunity for nurses and the supporters of nursing to make a contribution to the profession and to increase the public's awareness of the contribution of nurses. "Nurses Care" specialty license plates are available from the Department of Motor Vehicles. The proceeds are used to fund both graduate and undergraduate scholarships.

Nurses' Educational Funds Scholarships
Nurses’ Educational Funds, Inc. (NEF) is a not-for-profit organization which seeks and distributes funds to baccalaureate-prepared registered nurses who are in need of scholarship assistance for graduate study. The NEFs Board of Directors, which administers the funds, is comprised of prominent people in various fields, the majority of which are nurses. To qualify for an NEF award, an applicant must be a registered nurse; a member of a professional nursing association; a U.S. citizen; and enrolled full-time in a professionally NLNAC or CCNE accredited nursing master’s degree program or enrolled full- or part-time in a doctoral program in nursing or a nursing related field.

Nursing Alumni Organization Endowed Scholarship Fund
The Sinclair School of Nursing at University of Missouri offers a number of nursing-specific scholarships undergraduate clinical nursing majors and graduate students. A call for applications and announcement of awards is made each year during the spring semester for the following academic year. This scholarship is open to one undergraduate and two graduate students (one MA and one PhD) each year in the School of Nursing demonstrated financial need. Undergraduates must have attained sixth semester status.

Nursing Education BSN Loan/Scholarship Program – Mississippi
This program is available to junior and senior students who are residents of Mississippi pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing as well as to licensed registered nurses who wish to continue their education to the baccalaureate degree. Recipient agrees to employment in professional nursing (patient care) in Mississippi upon graduation. The service commitment is one year's service in professional nursing for one year of loan received.

Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania’s VFW Jack E. Barger, Sr. Scholarship
Established by the Department of Pennsylvania Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), this scholarship is awarded in memory of the late Jack E. Barger, Sr., a Department Commander, who died while in office. This award is open to Pennsylvania residents who are veterans, active duty military personnel, or the sons, daughters, or spouses of veteran/active duty military personnel. Award recipients must attend the VFW conference to accept the scholarship award.

OCCUPATIONS Scholarship - Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
In 1998, Egleston Children's Health Care System and Scottish Rite Medical Center came together to form Children's Healthcare of Atlanta — one of the largest pediatric systems in the country. The new system had a single priority: children and families. In 2006, Children's assumed responsibility for the management of services at Hughes Spalding Children's Hospital — growing the system to three hospitals and 17 neighborhood locations — all designed to better meet the needs of the community.
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta has established this scholarship to provide assistance to those desiring a career in healthcare.
Applicants must be a member of the Georgia chapter of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) and either be a graduating high school senior or a post secondary student.
Applicants must submit a one page essay describing what professional career in health care they are pursing in 500 words or less, double spaced, 10 inch font.
Applicants must also provide two letters of recommendation on letterhead, sealed by the author and a
current resume (including any volunteer experience).

ONCB Certification Scholarships
To help RNs achieve and maintain orthopaedic nursing certification, ONCB now sponsors four scholarships. Two potential ONCs can receive an award to cover the cost of the exam. Two scholarships are also offered to current ONCs to cover the cost of the recertification fee. One of the exam scholarships may be given to a non-member of NAON. However, only NAON members are eligible for the recertification scholarships.

ONCB Scholarships To NAON Congress For Certified Orthopaedic Nurses
The National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses Foundation supports the goals and mission of NAON by providing grants, scholarships, and awards to nurses pursuing careers in orthopaedic research. This award is offered to support education of a NAON member in the legislative process in order to influence health policy on State and Federal levels through an endowed scholarship. The award is a stipend to cover the majority of costs associated with attendance at Nursing Organizations Alliance’s NIWI in March.

ONF – Centennial Education Scholarships
The Centennial Scholarship Fund was created by the Oregon Nurses Foundation in 2003. During 2003 and 2004, Foundation members were successful in raising these monies because they were specifically designated to address the current and impending nursing shortage in Oregon. Specifically, these funds were to be used to attract individuals into nursing by providing support for tuition costs in the early phases of their academic life. Applicants must be accepted into or enrolled in an accredited nursing program in Oregon.

The Oregon Nurses Association is the voice of nursing in Oregon.
A professional association and labor union, ONA has stood for the
integrity of the nursing profession for over 90 years and continues
to represent thousands of registered nurses who are speaking up for
improved patient care, better working conditions for all nurses,
and quality health care delivery systems. The foundation promotes a
healthy community by acquiring and distributing funds to support
excellence in nursing practice, research education and community
