AORN Foundation Master’s Degree Scholarship
This scholarship is only available to AORN members. An AORN member is considered a licensed registered nurse (RN). AORN student members must complete the Nursing Student application. Since 1991, the AORN Foundation, through the AORN Scholarship Committee, has awarded funding for undergraduate and graduate education to AORN members who apply for scholarships and meet the established requirements. This award is offered to provide financial assistance to registered nurses who are interested and committed to perioperative nursing to continue their education by pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing.

AORN Foundation Nursing Student Scholarship
Since 1991, the AORN Foundation, through the AORN Scholarship Committee, has awarded funding for nursing scholarships. In 2001, a new category of scholarship was established to award funding to nursing students who are enrolled in educational programs leading to initial licensure as registered nurse. These applicants do not need to be members of AORN. Scholarship applicants must be enrolled at the time of application in a NLNAC- or CCNE- accredited nursing program.

Appalachian District Nurses Association Scholarship
This scholarship endowment is created by the Appalachian Nurses Association for the purpose of providing an annual scholarship for an Associate Degree, Baccalaureate or Higher Degree nursing student who either attends school in one of the four Appalachia District counties or is a permanent resident of those counties (Greenville, Anderson, Pickens and Oconee).

Archbold Scholarship Program
Archbold Medical Center, Archbold Memorial Hospital, and its
affiliates offer individual scholarships to students taking
health-related, college-level courses. Scholarship support is also
available for those taking technical school courses which lead to
registration or certification in healthcare fields or pursuing
professional degrees in health-related majors. The scholarship is
open to residents of South Georgia and North Florida. Applicants
must be students within two years of completing course work and
must provide a letter of acceptance from an accredited college or
technical school. Applicants must agree to work at Archbold Medical
Center following graduation. The work commitment is one to three
years.

ARIN - Dorothy Budnek Memorial Scholarship
The Association for Radiologic & Imaging Nursing (ARIN) is a network of professionals who are committed to the development and growth of nurses who advance the standard of care in the imaging environment. This award was established to provide financial assistance to ARNA members who have returned to school to advance their nursing education. Army Nurse Candidate Program
This program is open to undergraduate students pursuing a
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. It
provides a $5,000 bonus when you begin the program, plus a $5,000 bonus at graduation. It also provides a monthly stipend of $1,000 during the months you are enrolled in a full-time Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, or National League for Nursing-accredited nursing program.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science degree must be completed within 6 to 24 months. Passage of the NCLEX-RN examination is necessary prior to commissioning as an Army Nurse Corps Officer.
Must be a US Citizen. Prior enlisted Army Soldiers must have completed all Mandatory Service Obligations and have less than 10 years active federal service at time of commissioning. This program is only available to students in the state of Oregon.

Army Nurse Corps Association Education Fund
ARMY NURSE CORPS ASSOCIATION EDUCATION FUND
HISTORY OF THE ARMY NURSE CORPS ASSOCIATION
In 1976, a group of retired Army Nurse Corps Officers gathered in San Antonio, Texas and expressed their desire to continue the camaraderie and close ties of the Army Nurse Corps in retired life and to establish a means of communication by, for and about Army Nurse Corps retirees. From that dream the Retired Army Nurse Corps Association (RANCA) emerged and was incorporated in 1977. In 2000, the name was changed to the Army Nurse Corps Association (ANCA) to better reflect the composition of the membership. The membership is comprised of Army Nurse Corps officers from the Active Army, Army National Guard or the Army Reserve. They may be currently serving, retired or honorably discharged from one of these components. ANCA publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Connection, for its members. In even years, a biennial reunion/convention is held in different cities throughout the United States.
EDUCATION FUND
In accordance with ANCA's stated purpose, the association provides educational and social opportunities for its members. In addition, the organization cooperates with the Chief, Army Nurse Corps and the counterparts in the National Guard and Reserve, in the preservation of the history of the Army Nurse Corps and promotes literary, educational, research, charitable and artistic endeavors. The Education Fund is the primary source of monies to support the scholarship program.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The purpose of the Army Nurse Corps Association (ANCA) scholarship program is to award scholarship grants to colleges and universities (hereafter referred to as schools) with established and qualified baccalaureate or graduate nursing programs. The school uses the scholarship grant to provide scholarships to one or more nursing students. Previous grants have been between $3,000.00 - $3,500.00 per school.
To be considered qualified for a scholarship grant, the school must:
1. Have a baccalaureate or graduate nursing program approved by an agency acceptable to the
the United States Secretary of Education;
2. Have Internal Revenue Service tax-exempt status;
3. Have a scholarship fund under the functional control of the school of nursing from which
scholarship funds are disbursed to the nursing student(s); and
4. Have been supportive of Army Nurse Corps recruitment.
The school chooses the scholarship recipient(s) based upon established criteria of the school. The Army Nurse Corps Association desires that eligible students from the following categories be given priority. The school may consider submitting a scholarship application on behalf of a student(s) who fits one or more of the ANCA desired priorities.
ARMY NURSE CORPS SCHOLARSHIP PRIORITIES
(No rank order is intended)
A nursing student who plans to enter the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.
A nursing student who has previously served in the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.
An Army Nurse Corps officer enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program who is not funded by the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.

An enlisted soldier in the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve who is working toward a baccalaureate degree in nursing and is not funded by the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve.
A nursing student who has an immediate family member who is serving or has served in the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve This relationship may be husband, wife, father, mother, brother, sister or step parents.
The fact that a student is receiving GI Bill benefits does not preclude him/her from receiving an ANCA scholarship. Students who receive a ROTC scholarship are not eligible; however, ROTC students not receiving a scholarship are eligible. Because ANCA does not have an official affiliation with the Army Nurse Corps or the U.S. Army, there is no military service obligation incurred by the student who receives scholarship funds through this program. Army ROTC Nurse Officer Program
The majority of ROTC Nurse Program scholarships are awarded
specifically to students attending one of the schools identified as
a Partnership in Nursing Education (PNE) school. Nursing is an
extremely competitive degree program, particularly beginning with
the junior year of college. Fewer than 50 percent of the sophomore
nursing students nationwide are accepted into the upper level
division of nursing. Because of this, the Army established the PNE
program with a number of universities to assure upper level entry
for students who maintain an established grade point average.
