Edward J. and Virginia M. Routhier Nursing Scholarship

The Edward J. and Virginia M. Routhier Nursing Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students accepted to or currently attending an accredited BSN or RN-to-BSN program in Rhode Island or an RN graduate nursing degree in Rhode Island. The advisors to the Routhier Foundation established this fund to memorialize the couple and, in particular, to honor Mrs. Routhier, who spent her lifetime as a nurse. Scholarships covering full or partial cost of attendance will be given semiannually with awards renewable if the student maintains good academic standing. Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need and must commit to practice in Rhode Island.

The Ethel Louise Armstrong Foundation, Inc. (ELA) was founded by Margaret Staton in 1994 to "Change the Face of Disability on the Planet." Named after her maternal grandmother, ELA seeks to support the work of organizations that are led by or support the work of women with disabilities, encouraging distinctive projects that make a substantial difference. The ELA Scholarships are available to women graduate students with physical disabilities who are enrolled in a college or university in the United States.

Eleanor Duncan Nursing Scholarship

Each spring, the Conway Regional Health System Foundation awards scholarships to area students who are currently enrolled, or beginning their education, in a health related career field. Awards may be used for tuition, books, and room and board expenses. ENA Foundation Faculty Memorial Doctoral Scholarship

Recognizing the importance of ongoing education and research opportunities in emergency nursing, ENA established the Foundation in 1991. The purpose of the Foundation is to enhance emergency health services available to the public through education and research.  This scholarship is awarded to a nurse (RN) pursuing a doctoral degree.  This doctoral scholarship is being offered with the intent of assisting its recipient to prepare for a career as a faculty member at a college of nursing. Applicants who are more than six months beyond the completion of all formal coursework and comprehensive examinations, (if applicable), are not eligible to apply. This scholarship is intended to address some of the nursing shortage issues that result from the lack of availability of nursing faculty.

Eugene B. Casey Endowment for Nursing Scholarships

Suburban Hospital is a not-for-profit, community-owned hospital in Bethesda, Maryland that has served Montgomery County for more than 60 years. The Suburban Hospital Foundation was created in 1996 to serve as the fund-raising arm of the Suburban Hospital Healthcare System. This recently created endowment provides annual support for the undergraduate and advanced education of nurses. In return, newly graduated "Casey Scholars" will agree to work at Suburban Hospital Healthcare System, providing the hospital and its patients a much-needed supply of new caregivers.
