Delaware Nursing Incentive Program

This program is open to legal residents of Delaware who are full-time students enrolled in an accredited nursing program leading to an RN or LPN.  This is a loan, renewable for up to three years, not to exceed the cost of tuition, fees, and other direct educational expenses.  Loan forgiveness is available in exchange at a rate of one year of employment at a state-owned hospital or clinic for one year of loan.

he Dermatology Nurses' Association is a professional nursing organization comprised of a diverse group of individuals committed to quality care through sharing knowledge and expertise. The core purpose of the DNA is to promote excellence in dermatologic care. The purpose of this scholarship is to fund the continuing nursing education of a DNA member that will enhance his/her ability to contribute to the dermatologic community. Applicants must be DNA members for at least two years and pursuing a degree in nursing or an advanced degree in nursing. Applicants must be employed in the specialty of dermatology.

The core purpose of the DNA is to promote excellence in dermatologic care. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage DNA associate members to become an LPN/LVN or an RN. Applicants must be active in community service and an active DNA associate member accepted as a student in a certified nursing program. Recipients of this award must write an article for Focus, the organizations bi-monthly newsletter, within one year of winning the award.

Doctoral Degree Scholarships in Cancer Nursing

The American Cancer Society is the largest non-government funder of cancer research in the United States. The Society also sponsors grants in support of training for health professionals seeking to develop their clinical expertise and/or their ability to conduct independent research. This scholarship is awarded to graduate students pursuing doctoral study in the field of cancer nursing research, and preparing for careers as nurse scientists. Donna C. Otto Nursing Scholarship Fund

The Sinclair School of Nursing at University of Missouri offers a number of nursing-specific scholarships undergraduate clinical nursing majors and graduate students. A call for applications and announcement of awards is made each year during the spring semester for the following academic year. Edward J. and Virginia M. Routhier Nursing Scholarship

The Edward J. and Virginia M. Routhier Nursing Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students accepted to or currently attending an accredited BSN or RN-to-BSN program in Rhode Island or an RN graduate nursing degree in Rhode Island. The advisors to the Routhier Foundation established this fund to memorialize the couple and, in particular, to honor Mrs. Routhier, who spent her lifetime as a nurse. Scholarships covering full or partial cost of attendance will be given semiannually with awards renewable if the student maintains good academic standing. Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need and must commit to practice in Rhode Island.

Edwina Foye Award for Outstanding Graduate Student

The Edwina Foye scholarship was established in 1985 by colleagues, friends, and family to honor the memory of Edwina Foye, RN, a nurse who dedicated twenty-five years of service to Portsmouth Hospital (1952-1978).  This scholarship is awarded at the Foundation's Annual Meeting in April to a graduate student who is a resident in one of the nine towns in the Foundation area in New Hampshire and Maine.  The individual selected for this award must be pursuing a career in health and demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and personal accomplishments.
