Sarver, PA
RN, Clinical Nurse II, Orthopaedics Unit
When I became a nurse, I followed in the footsteps of my mother and two sisters. I chose this profession because of the emphasis on caring. I try to treat my patients just like family. It’s very satisfying because I feel that people really appreciate all that you do. I am active in both my profession and community. I am a member of the Allegheny Professional Business Women’s Association the National Association of Orthopaedic Nursing and the Allegheny Community Christian Women’s Club. I also volunteer for the Butler County Humane Society and help with fund raising for the American Cancer Society. Recently, I was recognized not only for my skill in the field of nursing but also for my compassion with patients and for achievements in the community. I was named Volunteer of the Year for the Indiana chapter of the American Cancer Society and was also honored as one of four Women of the Year for the Allegheny Professional Business Women’s Association. In addition to being honored with the Cameos of Caring Nursing award, I was also given Alle-Kiski Medical Center’s service excellence award, the Crystal Q.
