Eloise S.
Wauwatosa, WI
RN, Urology Clinic
My childhood aspirations were to always pursue the teaching
profession. Academic accomplishments brought knowledge in business,
nursing and education. Clinical opportunities spanned the standard
medical-surgical services to the intensive care units in the
hospital setting, as well as specialized nursing in the outpatient
clinics. Case management certification began in the workers
compensation venue and expanded into the insurance-managed care
arenas. Not withstanding, my greatest passion remains the
one-on-one interaction of education and service to those who are
around me. My love of learning never ends. Nothing is out of bounds,
despite the speedbumps that guide my decisions and remind me of my
limitations. Boundaries exist in the gray areas for me. Teaching at
the master’s level provides structured collaboration between
national/international master’s students [Concordia University
Wisconsin]. Writing for publication at the global level may be
daunting but can be accomplished [Medscape; newly published child’s
book: “Nurses are Patient People”]. Website consulting adds yet
another avenue of nursing [www.athenaforum.com] that is fulfilling.
As long as there is time, and moments to touch one another, one
will find me out there, somewhere.
