I have been a nurse for over 20 years now. For me, nursing has always been more of a “calling” than a career. Nursing has provided a way for me to live out my faith on a daily basis. For nearly 13 years, I had the privilege of working as a registered nurse at Children’s Hospital. During those years, I was given the opportunity to minister healing and hope to critically ill children and their families. During that time, I made a personal commitment to treat everyone equally and to impress upon them that I truly cared. Today, as a Nursing Faculty member, I have the honor of “passing the torch” to the next generation of nursing professionals.
