ExceptionalNurse.com began as a grassroots effort to address the needs of nursing students and nurses with disabilities. ExceptionalNurse.com awarded its first scholarship in 2003 and now awards five scholarships annually to nurses with disabilities. This particular scholarship has been donated by Thomas Gili and is awarded to an applicant with a documented disability who have applied to, or already been admitted to, a college or university program on a full-time basis. This particular scholarship has been donated by Leslie and Virginia Fiur and will be given to a nursing student with a disability.
