Health Professions Education Foundation Allied Healthcare Scholarship Program

 

Sponsor: Health Professions Education Foundation

The purpose of the Allied Healthcare Scholarship Program is to increase the number of appropriately trained allied healthcare professionals, and to encourage their practice in direct patient care in medically underserved areas of California. Priority is given to students enrolled in the fields of medical imaging, occupational therapy, physical therapy, respiratory care, social work, pharmacy, pharmacy technician, medical laboratory technologist, surgical technician, ultrasound technician, and diagnostic medical sonography. Recipients would have a service obligation of 1 year or 100-150 hours volunteer service. This program is funded by a contribution from Kaiser Permanente.
