ONF – Lily Drake Scholarship Trust

Sponsor: Oregon Nurses Foundation

The Oregon Nurses Association is the voice of nursing in Oregon. A professional association and labor union, ONA has stood for the integrity of the nursing profession for over 90 years and continues to represent thousands of registered nurses who are speaking up for improved patient care, better working conditions for all nurses, and quality health care delivery systems. The foundation promotes a healthy community by acquiring and distributing funds to support excellence in nursing practice, research education and community service. This trust account was opened in 1977 and will be active until 2052. At that time the remainder of the funds will be distributed to the National Kidney Foundation of Oregon. In the meantime the trust is able to dispense funds to single, female RNs in Oregon (not LPNs) who wish to continue their education in the nursing profession.
