Health Professions Education Foundation Health Professions Education Scholarship

 

Sponsor: Health Professions Education Foundation

The purpose of this program is to increase the number of appropriately trained health professional and to encourage their practice in direct patient care in medically underserved areas of California. Scholarships are awarded to students who are enrolled or accepted into Dentist, Dental Hygienist, Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Physician Assistant, and Clinical Nurse Specialist programs in California. Recipients commit to work full-time or 32 hours per week after graduating with a degree a two-year service obligation practicing direct patient care in a medically underserved area in California.
