Nurses who work in this field help U.S. Veterans not only in VA hospitals and medical centers, but also in outpatient clinics, nursing home units, and home based primary care programs. VA Nurses are not only Registered Nurses, including APNs, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Certified Nurse Anesthetists, but also LPNs and NAs. They not only help veterans prevent, maintain, or regain health, but also help them learn to live with their disabilities and eventually die with dignity.
