February 2012

The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) will host its 59th Annual Congress March 24-29, 2012 in New Orleans. The AORN Congress is a great opportunity to connect with approximately 10,000 nurses nationwide to discuss hot topics in the perioperative nursing specialty.

This year's meeting will offer more than 100 educational sessions on timely industry topics and provide valuable networking opportunities for all attendees. The 2012 Congress boasts an impressive list of general session speakers, including Michael R. Bleich, PhD, RN, FAAN, who will share his experiences with shaping the Institute of Medicine (IOM) Future of Nursing report and what the report means for nursing.

AORN chapter delegates will also convene to make important business decisions which will impact the direction of the association in the year ahead.
