Nurse Practitioner Student Scholarships
Nurse practitioner students – looking for ways to reduce your educational debt while giving back to those in need? The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholarship Program (SP) and the NURSE Corps Scholarship Program (NURSE Corps SP), administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, award annual scholarships to nurse practitioner students in return for a commitment to provide healthcare in a community with limited access to care.
The scholarships include payment for tuition, required fees and other reasonable educational costs; a monthly support stipend; and assistance in finding a practice site. Upon receipt of the scholarship, students commit to a minimum of two years service at an eligible healthcare facility in a Health Professional Shortage Area upon graduation and completion of training.
Both scholarship programs accept applications from nurse practitioner students. The eligibility requirements and funding preferences vary by program. For more information about the scholarship programs, visit www.nhsc.hrsa.gov.
