In a continuing effort to connect individuals to better opportunities in rewarding nursing careers, OnlineNursingDegrees.org has created the Mary Blake Single Parent Nursing Scholarship. Mary Blake was a single mother and registered nurse who moved from Florida to Atlanta for better opportunities. This scholarship recognizes and rewards the efforts of individuals who meet the joint challenges of single parenthood and nursing. The contest is free to enter but applicants must be U.S. citizens enrolled in an accredited nursing program, and they must submit an essay of no fewer than 500-words.
