Specialized Training Assistance Program
The Specialized Training Assistance Program was established by the U.S. Army Reserve Health Care Team. The program is open to associate degree/diploma nurses who have graduated from a program accredited by the National League of Nursing (NLN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and are currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program or a master’s of science in nursing (critical care/nurse anesthesia). Recipients receive a monthly stipend of $1,600. Participants incur a two-year obligation to serve in the Army Reserve for each year or partial year of financial assistance. Students may also receive $50,000 toward repaying their loans.
