Veterans Affairs Predoctoral Fellowship Program

The Veterans Affairs Predoctoral Fellowship Program assists in the education and research development of doctoral level nurses for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the nation. During the two-year full-time or three-year part-time predoctoral fellowship program, the fellow is expected to complete a doctoral research dissertation on a topic that is relevant to the care of veterans and generally involves a veteran population. Research interests of the applicant must be relevant to the care of veterans. Fellows are encouraged but not required to seek VA employment after completion of the fellowship.
