The Veterans Affairs Predoctoral Fellowship Program assists in the education and research development of doctoral level nurses for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the nation. During the two-year full-time or three-year part-time predoctoral fellowship program, the fellow is expected to complete a doctoral research dissertation on a topic that is relevant to the care of veterans and generally involves a veteran population. Research interests of the applicant must be relevant to the care of veterans. Fellows are encouraged but not required to seek VA employment after completion of the fellowship.
