Upon graduation with an associate degree in nursing, students are prepared to take the licensing exam to become a Registered Nurse (RN). Our nursing program is a direct admittance program. This means you won’t waste time and money taking classes; only to find out later that you are not accepted into the program. You will graduate with a degree in just 24 months. At WVJC, we understand that Nursing is both an art and a science that requires compassion, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The curriculum in this program addresses nursing values, the nursing process, health promotion and maintenance, nursing roles, therapeutic communication skills and competent nursing care. We focus on the art and the science of nursing in classroom, skills laboratory, and clinical practice settings. Our challenging curriculum coupled with a dedicated faculty committed to your success and dreams makes becoming a nurse possible.
