Nursing School Accreditation

An accredited nursing school is one that meets or surpasses benchmarks in educational standards.

There are two national organizations that accredit nursing programs: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and The American Association of Colleges of Nursing.

To work as a nurse, you don’t need to go to a school that’s accredited, but the transition to a graduate program may be easier if you do. Also, some scholarships are available only to students attending accredited nursing schools. Check out the links below to find out more.
