In order for nurses to prepare for this important role, organizations such as the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) provide educational, professional, and clinical resources to help nurses working in women's health, obstetrics, and neonatal nursing continue their education and remain up-to-date on emerging best practices.
