Join Johnson & Johnson and Global Citizen 2017 to Move the World Forward

Johnson & Johnson believes good health changes everything. This belief drives a company-wide commitment to bringing meaningful change to the health of everyone, everywhere, and striving to protect the most vulnerable. We are dedicated to combating global infectious diseases, driving advances in maternal and child health, providing access to essential surgery and supporting health workforce training, in a way that supports a healthy environment for all.

Inspired by this commitment to make an impact, Johnson & Johnson is proud to be a major sponsor of the Global Citizen Festival in New York City, on September 23, 2017.

As a social action platform for a global generation that wants to solve the world’s biggest challenges, Global Citizen aims to end extreme poverty by inviting individuals from around the world to come together and take action (health, education, women/girls, food/nutrition, sanitation). With every action taken, a commitment is made, and a life can be changed.

The 2017 Global Citizen Festival in New York City’s Central Park will feature world-class entertainment, heads of state, business leaders and influencers, all of whom share the goal of improving the lives of millions of people around the world. Stevie Wonder (and special guests), Green Day, The Killers, The Lumineers and The Chainsmokers will headline the show in Central Park with special guest performances by Pharrell Williams, Big Sean, Andra Day, and Alessia Cara, with more to be announced over the coming weeks.

During the week leading up to the Festival, Johnson & Johnson will be hosting 11 young health leaders who will participate in a variety of activities and events designed to empower them to make an even greater impact in their organizations and communities.

“Nurses play a critical role on the front lines of patient care, with an ability to impact health issues around the world,” said Lynda Benton, Senior Director, The Johnson & Johnson Campaign for Nursing. “Johnson & Johnson invites nurses everywhere to join the Global Citizen movement, and become a Global Citizen to help move the world forward.”
